    RULES

    • Only one entry per person
    • Must register during registration period and bring registration number to the contest
    • Bring the recipe for the pie with you to the contest. If willing, we would like to publish a book of recipes every few years and will need your permission to include yours.
    • Winning pies cannot be submitted in future contests.
    • Whole pie must be submitted
    • No entry can be sold or distributed for consumption after judging due to food safety regulations
    • Donations will be accepted and spectators who wish to take tasting samples may do so at their own risk.

    PROCESS

    1. All pies are photographed at the time of entry. Please remember to bring your card with both your number and the name of your pie written clearly on it. This card will be placed next to your pie as part of the photograph
    2.  Judges will refer to the photographs of the pies throughout the judging, so the the photos are taken at the moment of entry to ensure maximum beauty.
    3.  Judges will not be facing the pie entry area. No one (except the pie runners) are to speak to or interact with the judges during the judging period.
    4. Only until all judges have been served a piece of each pie will the pies then be cut up and served to the community.
    5.  Pies are served by designated i-70 corridor Chamber of Commerce volunteers/runners and we ask that the public do not serve themselves.
    6.  Please be courteous to your neighbors and return for additional pie rather than take as much as you can in the first go-around.
    7. Category winners will be announced at the end of the judging.  A special prize will be awarded to the Best in Show/Judge's Choice Pie

    Categories

    1. One crust pie – any kind of filling (cream, custard, etc.)

    2. Two crust pie – mainly (but not limited to) fruit pies

    3. Tarts

    We will have an I-70 Corridor Chamber of Commerce table at the Arapahoe County Fair.  All members are welcome to participate with materials or giveaways to represent the I-70 Corridor businesses and Arapahoe County.

    This is a member benefit, where you get to share information and visit with potential clients from all around Adams and Arapahoe Counties via our booth at the fair.  We will be there on Saturday from 10 am to6 pm.
